Transfer Students: Admissions Timetable
When is your Cornell application due? It depends on whether you're planning to transfer in the fall or spring semester. Below is a handy timetable you may want to print to help you keep your application on track.
Please note:
- the deadlines below are postmark deadlines.
- for financial aid form deadlines, please refer to the financial aid timetable.
- if you run into problems and can't meet one of the deadlines below, please contact the admissions office.

| The turnaround times for spring-semester admission are very short, and you will need to plan accordingly when putting together your application and compiling supporting materials. Admission notifications are made on a rolling basis. We will need to know as soon as possible after you receive notification whether you're planning to attend. | |
| Filing period for Transfer Common Application and Cornell Transfer Supplement | October 1 to November 1 |
| Deadline for financial-aid applicants to submit Transfer Financial Aid Application and 2006 income tax returns to Cornell. | November 1* |
| Deadline for financial-aid applicants to submit the CSS PROFILE application and the FAFSA to the processor. | November 1 |
| Transfer Day---open house for prospective transfers to Agriculture and Life Sciences, Human Ecology, and Industrial and Labor Relations. | November 2 |
| Architecture and art portfolio and interview due. Hotel Adminstration interview due. | November 15 |
| Admission decisions and financial-aid awards announced. | December |

| Admission decisions and financial-aid awards announced. | May and June |
| Reply to offer of admission. | Early June or two weeks after notification and receipt of financial aid package, which ever is later |
*Please note: late applications will not be considered for Cornell-based grant aid.
