Red Carpet Society Overnight Hosting Program
About Red Carpet Society
The Red Carpet Society (RCS) began more than 19 years ago as a way to help prospective students learn more about Cornell from a student's perspective. Each year nearly 800 prospective students participate in the Red Carpet Society. Although there is no formal schedule for Red Carpet guests to follow, most spend time speaking with lots of Cornell students, attending a class or two, and sampling cuisine in Cornell's award-winning dining facilities. We do our best to pair hosts and guests who share one or several academic or outside interests. Although an exact match may not be possible, visitors are encouraged to interact with a number of students while on campus.
Important Notes:
- Because we require some time to locate a host, all requests for overnight hosting must be placed at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. Once you submit your request, you will be notified via email within two to three business days as to whether or not we can accommodate you on the date(s) requested.
- If we are able to accommodate you on one of the hosting dates you have requested, we will provide you with your host's name and contact information. It is your responsibility to contact your host prior to arrival to arrange a time and place to meet on campus.
