Tell us about your favorite spot on campus or in Ithaca.

My favorite spot on campus has to be the Willard Straight Hall terrace. I love going out there on a nice day and watching the sunset, dancing salsa with my friends, or just sitting and doing some work while enjoying the nature Ithaca offers.

Tell us about your favorite thing to do in Ithaca.

I love trying all of the amazing food available in Ithaca. A fun fact I’ve learned is that Ithaca has more restaurants per capita than New York City. There are so many restaurants in Collegetown (a one-minute walk from campus) and in the Ithaca Commons (a 20- to 30-minute walk or 10-minute bus ride), and every single one I’ve tried has been delicious! There are also many opportunities to get fresh food with the Ithaca Farmers Market and fruit and vegetable picking nearby.

What is your favorite class so far?

My favorite class so far is ENGRD 2190: Chemical Process Design and Analysis. It’s the first class where all of the 2025 ChemEs are together, and Professor Duncan (who usually teaches the course) is amazing and great at introducing and explaining concepts. I have learned so much in this class, but I’ve also enjoyed it because I am surrounded by others who feel just as passionate about the topics as I do.

Tell us about your favorite place to study.

My absolute favorite place to study is in the Physical Sciences Building. It is a central campus building with large windows that look out over the Arts Quad and the Clocktower. There is a delicious café, Goldie’s, which has great hours. There are many tables in the main atrium area, but I like to explore the building and find hidden areas to study in.

Stay organized! …Make a to-do list, use a calendar with reminders, or whatever works so you don’t miss deadlines. And make sure to keep track of your logins for all of your portals!
