I wanted a school with school spirit that was easy to get to, had a real campus, a large population, and strong academics. Cornell checked all of those boxes.
On campus, I usually go to Mac's in Statler Hall. I love their sandwiches and pre-made snack boxes. Off campus, I love the Parisian sandwich from Collegetown Bagels.
There's an alpaca farm about 20 minutes away by car. I've gone a few times, and my favorite thing in Ithaca is going to that farm to feed the alpacas.

Cornell is SO diverse, and that's partly due to its size. No two people have the same interests, paths, passions, and hobbies. You'll meet engineers building rockets and hotelies who will soon be running the industry. Being in a rural environment also allows Cornell to exist as its own ecosystem; it's very insulated in a good way.

When ILR said "one major, endless possibilities," they truly meant it.
Being on the field when Cornell Football won its first game this season. It was against Bucknell, and I truly felt a sense of school pride and accomplishment, even though I wasn't the one playing the game.
My family.
My favorite class is ILRGL3760 Salary Arbitration in Sports. It's a once-a-week night class taught by two alums in sports, and the entire class is learning about the salary arbitration process and then conducting a mock one based on real player data. It's just so unique and has taught me equally about networking and how to build a career as it has about the course content.
Working for a year or two, then going to law school!
I really like sitting on the top floor of the Olin stacks, overlooking the Arts quad. It's nice to people-watch out the window while doing work.
I love going to Taughannock State Park, it's the tallest waterfall in North America, in the middle of a gorge. You just feel the beauty and scale of nature. It's absolutely gorgeous.
