What drew me to Cornell was their one of kind nutritional sciences program and world-leading faculty who support and continue to grow the division.
My favorite dining hall is Northstar (also known as Appel), and my favorite cafe is Temple of Zeus. At Zeus, I love to get their Peach Kombucha and overnight oats! I do not have any dietary restrictions, but as a Student Nutrition Specialist, we have the opportunity to work closely with our Dining Halls and on-campus eateries to ensure proper allergy signage and staff training.
When the weather permits, my favorite thing to do is go to the farmers market and explore the local cuisine and produce!
My favorite Cornell memory is sledding during finals week. This was a great way to take my mind off studying!
I am inspired by my friends and family. They are always supporting me and cheering me on.
My favorite class has been SOC 2070- Social Problems in the United States. I really enjoyed the instructor, Peter Rich, and the content was super applicable to nutrition and understanding the complexities of social problems.
I hope to earn my MD-PhD and continue to research mitochondrial dysfunction and its role in chronic disease. I am eager to work at the intersection of nutrition and patient-centered education to strengthen understanding and trust in research.
My favorite place to study is Mann Library. There are so many unique spots and lots of windows that let in natural light.
Cornell is unique in that you can always find resources or guidance for your hobbies and interests. Whether you're picking up a new skill or taking a class unrelated to your major, there's likely a student organization or experienced faculty member ready to support and guide you.

My favorite spot on campus is Martha Van Ressler Hall, the building is beautiful and there are so many comfortable and collaborative spaces to work and hangout in.
My favorite thing about Cornell is the nature and architecture, no matter the season you can find beauty in what's around campus.
The College of Human Ecology allows and encourages students to take courses and explore interests outside of their major. This has allowed me to further foster my love of sewing by taking on a fashion studies minor.
What I love about nutrition is its scale. Cornell tackles nutrition both microscopically by studying cellular metabolism but also macro-scale issues. For example, in one of my past courses we looked at nutrition equity and how public policy impacts communities and their access to healthy and affordable foods.
My favorite campus resource is the Learning Strategies Center. The content they offer for chemistry, biology, math, etc. has helped me really understand the content I am learning in my courses.
My piece of advice is to imagine a day in your life at Cornell. What courses would you be taking and why? What campus events would you want to attend? What groups and activities would you be involved in day-to-day and why?
I found friends and community by being myself and trying new things. College is a time to embrace your interests and explore new ones. Being your true self will foster genuine connections and lifelong friendships.
