I love studying Cognitive Science because I am really interested in the relationships between cognition and other disciplines (i.e., linguistics, music, neuroscience, etc.). I love learning about the brain/thinking through these different lenses, and working at my lab (Cognitive Science of Language Lab) has led me to further understand cognition through a more involved approach.
My go-to campus resources are support classes and LSC calendars. I found out about them during O-Week, and they have been my cheat codes to success. Support classes are really helpful for weekly problem-solving check-ins to ensure you understand the material as the semester progresses. The calendar helps you stay really organized and keep track of prelims/all your big events.
Say hi to people! It is human nature to want to make friends and be social, so most people will respond well to a simple hello.
I found a lot of my friends through classes and clubs! When you're in a class/club, you already know you have a shared interest, and it is a lot easier to connect with people. I highly recommend joining at least one club based on a past hobby/interest (i.e., dance, singing, sports, or anything else).

My favorite thing about Cornell is definitely the community that I have found here! I have found such lovely people who share similar interests and motivate me to be the best version of myself! I also appreciate that if I am ever bogged down by life, I know I have people who will support me.
Arts and Sciences is a good fit for me because I am interested in a lot of different subjects, and A&S's distribution requirements lead me to explore new topics I had not considered before. I was also undecided when I came into Cornell, and I really valued the opportunity and flexibility to explore different majors and classes before I made my decision.
I chose Cornell because I wasn't really sure what I wanted to major in, and the flexibility and exploration period of the first two years really fit what I was looking for. Additionally, I loved the spirit that the people displayed around campus when I visited.
Something that makes the Cornell experience unique is that you have the chance to take classes across a diversity of schools and explore interests beyond your major.
My go-to place to eat is definitely Terrace—love a good burrito during prelim/finals season.
My favorite thing to do in Ithaca is probably just exploring the area. I love thrifting and general side questing, and I have found a lot of fun in just taking an afternoon to go on a grocery run or try a new restaurant.
My favorite Cornell memory is visiting Switzerland and Austria with my choir during spring break last year! I had so many fun interactions with strangers abroad and had so many good eats. Overall, such an amazing experience!
I am inspired by my friends every day. One of the awesome things about Cornell is that you meet such incredible people on a day-to-day basis. My friends truly lead me to be the best version of myself and to have fun.
My favorite class so far was my first semester First-Year Writing Seminar called COML 2030, a comparative literature course. Midway through the semester, our professor released a film, and we all went to watch it as a class. I formed really strong friendships in that class, and we will all still regularly meet up once a semester just to catch up and debrief.
After graduation, I plan to attend medical school.
Libe Cafe! Because it is right on central, it's often close to my next destination.
My favorite spot on campus is the bridge near Beebe Lake. When it's warmer, I'll often watch the sunsets there and listen to new albums that my favorite artists have released.
