My favorite thing about Cornell is how many opportunities there are the moment you get here. I was honestly surprised by how quickly students can get involved. As a first-year, I didn't expect to have the chance to start working in a lab so soon, but at Cornell, those opportunities are real, and they're accessible if you're curious and willing to try. It makes the experience feel very hands-on from the start. You are not just sitting in classes learning about things. You actually get to be part of the work.
