What I love most about studying my major at Cornell is that we do not just learn about agriculture from a video or a piece of paper. We actually go out into New York, visit farms, and sit down with landowners and producers to talk through how they run their operations and why they make the decisions they do. Those conversations make everything feel real, because you learn directly from the people who live it every day. Another thing I appreciate is that the program never puts you in a box. Agriculture touches so many parts of society, and my classes constantly introduce careers that go far beyond the traditional agriculture sector. Whether it is sustainability, food systems, policy, energy, or land management, the degree opens doors to so many different paths. It makes studying this field feel exciting because you realize how much impact it can have on the world around you
