When you were applying, why did you choose Cornell? (Ethan Ouyeung (eo285))

Growing up in Southern California, I always longed to experience the East Coast's distinct charm, especially the beauty of the four seasons. That's why I chose Cornell: its breathtaking campus, enveloped in nature with cascading waterfalls and a cozy small-town vibe; its world-renowned and exceptional faculty; and the unparalleled view from the slope, where I can watch the stunning sunsets. Above all, what truly drew me in was Cornell's innovative interdisciplinary curriculum, like in my major of Human Biology, Health, and Society. I got to learn about multiple influences and effects on the human body, from the metabolic reactions on the molecular level to the nationwide influence of healthcare policies.
