During my first week at Cornell, I met some of my closest friends (and roommates!) through the Speech Team. I had previous speech experience in high school, so I knew I wanted to continue competing in college, but nothing could have prepared me for the utter sense of belonging and welcome I experienced when I joined the team here. The coaches are dedicated to working with folks with any experience level, so it really provides a super fun and diverse range of students from different colleges and different majors. Whether it's going out to dinner as a group, practicing with coaches, or traveling to tournaments at other universities, Cornell Speech has been a home for me.
