What is one piece of advice or something you wish you had known when you were applying? (Saty Paynter-Tavares (sp2243))

I would tell myself to be patient and trust the process. When I was applying for Cornell, I didn't know that I would be a Transfer-Option student (in fact, one of the very few Transfer-Option students in the entire state of Hawaii). I had my doubts about whether I would be admitted into the Entomology program and if the extra effort was worth it because of the unknowns associated with the program. I'd say to keep pushing and trust that all the work I put in will reap its rewards in good time. I'm really happy that I had the opportunity to be a Transfer Option student because I gained a unique college experience from it and became a more well-rounded person.
