On August 20th, Cornell Move-In Day, we opened the doors for the first time to the year-long home for my twin sister and I, who, at that point, were filled with emotions of excitement, fear, and worry for our long-awaited “college dorm experience”.

Some of the most impactful learning happens outside the classroom. From our perspective, extracurriculars are not “extra.” These activities go hand-in-hand with your academic work, and they are a vital part of your education.

At Cornell, traditions are more than long‑standing events—they connect students across class years and generations in shared Cornellian spirit.

We are kept apprised of everything on campus and have enjoyed amazing family weekend programming. Locally, we've met other Cornell parents at the annual New Student Send-off events and are enjoying the local Cornell Club activities and community.

As a proud parent and Cornell alumnus, watching my daughter begin her journey to Ithaca filled me with both nostalgia and excitement.
