Max has found a perfect fit in the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration, where he learns about business operations while also gaining a taste for food and beverage management. Max enjoys photographing Ithaca’s beautiful scenery and takes part in Cornell Rowing on the lake.
What clubs/activities are you involved with on campus?
I am part of Club Rowing, Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, and the Cornell Daily Sun.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell?
I appreciate how the student body motivates me to work harder, and I really enjoy the natural scenery.
Why is the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration a great fit for you?
The Nolan School perfectly encompasses my desire to learn about business operations, and it gives you a taste of food and beverage management, too!
What is your academic passion?
My academic passion is connected to my marketing concentration since I learn about business, brand psychology, and strategy.
What are your go-to campus resources? How did you discover them?
Cornell Career Services is my go-to campus resource. I learned about Career Services during my internship with Student & Campus Life.
What is one piece of advice or something you wish you knew when you were applying?
I wish I knew I would thrive wherever I ended up. Also, I wish I knew that application outcomes are not to be taken personally.
How did you find your friends and community at Cornell?
I found my friends and community by participating in sports and clubs like Club Rowing.

Mac's Cafe! It has the best roast beef sandwiches and sounds like "Max"!

Tell us about your favorite Cornell memory.
My favorite Cornell memory is when my family came to the university to experience my Establishment night to eat the French food we made.
What is your favorite class so far, and why?
I liked Human Bonding because the course content is so witty and unlike any other Cornell class I have taken.
What makes the Cornell experience unique?
The natural scenery and the student body make Cornell unique.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I want to work in business operations/development for an IT company.
Tell us about your favorite spot on campus or in Ithaca.
My favorite study spot in Ithaca is Cascadilla Creek. It's within walking distance of campus and very scenic and beautiful.
