Big Red Athletics
Cornell boasts 37 varsity sports teams for both men and women. The Cornell community comes out to "Yell Cornell" in support of our student-athletes, which makes for tons of school spirit!
Intramural Sports
There’s more to take part in than just varsity sports. Cornell has developed an extensive network of other options for students, so whatever your skill level, you’ll find more than 30 leagues and tournaments each academic year.
Student Organizations
There are more than 1,000 student organizations on campus, with a club, program, activity, or group on nearly every topic imaginable. The options run the gamut, from microfinance to roller hockey, from cheese production to snowboarding.
Finding your home on campus.
Cornell’s residential campus community provides all first- and second-year students with everything they need to feel at home as they settle into one of our residence halls or Program Houses. Here, students will find dining, community, and recreation close at hand.
The Office of Undergraduate Research
For Cornell University, research is a priority. The Office of Undergraduate Research is a resource for students interested in collaborating with faculty outside of the classroom.
Study Abroad
For Cornell students, the world awaits! In recent years, students have studied Latin American Literature in Cuba, Environmental Engineering in Ireland, and Sustainability in Hong Kong. Cornellians pursue study abroad experiences across all majors and colleges. Whether you want to explore a culture, hone your language skills, experience a new learning environment, or explore a potential career path, you can find a program that suits you.
College
Cornell University is home to a number of undergraduate colleges and schools. When you hear an admissions staff member talk about "the colleges" or "the colleges and schools" at Cornell, this is what we mean. A Cornell college or school may offer many different majors or just one or two. Learn more on our Colleges, Schools, and Educational Paths website.
Cornell University’s founding principle of “… any person … any study” continues to be practiced through the resources provided to the specific identities represented within the diverse student body.
